Regular Tasks for This Role (includes but are not limited to):

  • Providing excellent care for a newborn infant and a 2-year-old toddler (primary focus)

  • Supporting infant feeding routines (breast milk) and helping transition to solids as baby grows

  • Planning age-appropriate play, development, and enrichment activities for the toddler (crafts, learning activities, outings, etc.)

  • Helping with school drop-off and pick-up for older children as needed (drive time approx. 25–30 minutes)

  • Assisting with transportation/logistics for extracurriculars as needed (cheer, gymnastics, sports, etc.)

  • Providing coverage at home with baby/toddler so parent can attend activities with older children 

  • Preparing simple meals and snacks for children (ex: toddler lunch, after-school snacks)

  • Tidying and organizing kids’ spaces and cleaning up after child-related activities/meals

  • Keeping kids’ items stocked and organized (diapers, wipes, bottles, snacks, etc.)

  • Running miscellaneous errands for the family as needed (ex: grocery store, post office)

  • Occasional evening/weekend babysitting for date nights (rare, as-needed)

Skills/Experience/Education

  • Minimum 2+ years of professional childcare experience (private home, daycare, preschool, nursery, or infant/toddler-focused roles strongly preferred)

  • Spanish speaking is a bonus!

  • Strong infant and toddler competency, including developmental milestones and routines

  • Montessori background or early childhood education exposure is a bonus (not required)

  • Current CPR & First Aid certifications 

  • Clean driving record and comfort driving children

  • Strong critical thinking skills and ability to stay calm under pressure

  • Innate ability to “read the room” and anticipate needs

  • Genuinely enjoys being of service and supporting a family’s daily flow

  • Strong communication skills and high emotional intelligence

Schedule / Compensation

Monday–Friday (flexible schedule; guaranteed hours weekly—typically 35–40 hours)
Occasional Saturday evenings as needed (rare)
$30–$40+/hr DOE (open to higher for exceptional experience)
